Can someone who believes masks and distancing don't help for coronavirus explain why ordinary seasonal flu numbers basically dropped to zero this year? What's the theory to explain both beliefs?

I mean, honestly, think about it: flu cases "basically dropped to zero" the SAME year that COVID cases took up their slack. It doesn't require much to connect those 2 glaring dots. In the same vein, the places reporting the most cases are also adhering the most to mask mandates.
