Can someone who believes masks and distancing don't help for coronavirus explain why ordinary seasonal flu numbers basically dropped to zero this year? What's the theory to explain both beliefs?

Yes, we have rapid tests for flu A & B. And it’s true that we often don’t do follow up testing if you are positive for covid, because the clinical care doesn’t change for most patients. So much fewer specimens submitted, but still very low in ones that are. Source next.

No test for flu and there no test for covid19 either. It's a DNA test. The inventor of the test claims you cannot use it to diagnose any disease.
