Can someone who believes masks and distancing don't help for coronavirus explain why ordinary seasonal flu numbers basically dropped to zero this year? What's the theory to explain both beliefs?

No idea. But it took a while to convince CDC last year that masks should be worn by everyone not just people with respiratory symptoms. Took much longer to convince WHO. Takes time to change long standing dogma. We haven't had a single positive flu test. That's not by chance.

They literally only work when they’re the right sort of masks worn correctly. Almost no member of the general public checks even one of those boxes, let alone both simultaneously at any given time. It’s really not that complicated. Talk to literally ANY nurse.

1/2 This is such BS. Here's what you're missing. I'm not going to talk about if masks "work" because NO ONE knows what any given person means when they say it. I'm going to walk by you in the grocery store. I have COVID and I'm walking around coughing.
