Just because you take a picture of a mona lisa or download it off google or repaint it yourself stroke for stroke doesn't mean you own THEEEE mona lisa... Just like you don't one THIS picture, verified thru the blockchain

This would be a good point if this art was a physical rendition that can be held by hand. Instead this is digital, so your comparison has a big flaw in it. The only argument I see would be authenticity, but when such art is shown digitally, who would care but only the owner.

You miss the point of NFTs. They are numbered "originals" no one else can own, as guaranteed by blockchain. People are buying the rareness.

What do you mean “no one else can own”, I just take a screenshot and it’s mine now.

Incorrect. Blockchain guarantees only one original owner at a time and tracks it. What you have is a copy.

Being the “original owner” versus having a copy of it is basically the same thing. The only difference is one person was dumb enough to pay millions for some pixels.

Saying that a copy is just as good as the original is my point. It's about the scarcity of having the ORIGINAL not the COPY. Just because you don't get it don't get upset with me lol. Theres a whole industry behind it. If you don't understand it, fine. It doesn't matter to me lol

For scarcity to be important, you need demand. NFT’s is just another stupid endeavour we see near bubble peaks. By next year, no one will even know what an NFT is.

More likely will be illegal in a year since it is a gambling scheme. It isn’t about art.

Money laundering more than gambling, but it already exists in video games so it definitely won't be illegal haha. More regulated perhaps
