I want a doctor who doesn't hallucinate my opinion and react to his own hallucination sarcastically. Where was the part in which I claimed no infectious diseases can kill healthy people?https://twitter.com/Dr_ScottK/status/1364274409624723464 …

Or maybe, just maybe, some infectious diseases are actually bad and can kill healthy people....but what do physicians know who treat patients like this every day.....

The student that graduates first in their class from medical school is called the valedictorian. What is the student that graduates last in their class called? "Doctor"

The people that don't like you just read your tweet as, "no infectious diseases can kill healthy people." Dangerous statement, Scott.

As a medical researcher/engineer who has taken classes alongside medical students, I can promise you that most aren't able to competently or rigorously review/analyze data objectively. On the flip side, when they are competent in doing so they are close to the best in the field

Your question was also a claim. My reality filter tells me you likely knew that when you asked. (But it doesn’t tell me for sure, because I can’t read minds)

Drs aren't trained to do science, they are trained to TRUST science. By the time new science reaches drs, scientists have known abt it for yrs. U want it this way bc then it's well tested b4 they use it on u. Covid shows what happens when this process breaks down & we go too fast

I'm seeing your point. The fact is we never test for the flu. The numbers aren't made up, but they're estimated based on... good guessing? The flu count went to zero this year because the stats are hard to calculate with a new anomaly. The focus is on COVID.

I would estimate that flu is almost always a co-morbidity, thus we estimate rather than know the rate. BTW doctors are experts in how to help you get better, not on the science and statistics of their field.
