Enjoyed, thanks. But this is conceived from an individualist-humanistic view. Happiness depends, obv., on many things, including status in the tribe and communal success of the tribe, be it nation or religion or ethnicity, etc. A socio-political component can't be easily elided.

I understand the point (and somewhat agree with it), but the you cant graph talent stack vs selfishness. You will end up with a random plot of dots all over the entire board. They dont necessarily correlate.

I think it's interesting that younger in life when i wasn't traditionally successful I was unhappy via comparison with other people, and then i figured out a -form- of wealth that i could convince myself that i had, (in form of massive repository of video games or movies)

I think a lot of people that are above average smarts see the opposite sex or the ordinary life cycle of having kids as like an entrapment, so they look at a utilitarian solution like JBP offers and are like, as an alternative - I have to convince myself i have amassed 'loot.'

Happiness for me a sanity first. But when the world goes mad around you, it's tough to be "happy". For example, we now live in a country where renaming schools is more important than teaching in them.https://www.msn.com/en-us/news/us/renaming-polls-open-for-tc-williams-maury-elementary/ar-BB1dxhyv …
