How often do you check email in 2021? I’m at once a day at most, often skip a day or two entirely. No reason other than it is a time sink if you open it.

People leave notifications on for email??? That’s masochistic.

Yes, but I have my notifications go to my email. 😛

All internet based job holders live this way. My phone dings throughout the night. The notifications are the first things I see upon waking. The pull from work in inescapable. There is no more “punching out.”

Everyone that knows me knows not to bother calling for this exact reason. I had my last phone for 6 years and never changed the default ringtone since I muted it day one.

A long time ago, I learned to turn it all off. Greatest decision of my life! Only my wife’s text makes a noise. Otherwise it’s silent. If it’s urgent enough, I’ll get a call that rings. You’ll notice emails and texts can wait.

How many emails do you get a day? I'm in construction and sometime during the busy time of the job I peak around 150/day so if I don't keep up with them through out the day I don't catch up

Only a text or call can buzz my phone... Idk how you maintain sanity otherwise
