Smart people on Twitter have informed me that the coronavirus infection peaks and valleys are because the virus is "seasonal," which surprised me because I didn't even know viruses could read calendars.

They call it “seasonal” because they see infection rates increase during the winter since a majority of people are indoors and close proximity. Summer people are outdoor more and spread out so less likely for infection. Same with students and classes.

How were they "debunked"? I thought this was common knowledge. It's the reason why colds and flus are rarer in warmer climates. Same reason why people in warmer climates have a more "hug friendly" culture than people in colder climates.
