There's more than one variable to consider good sir Chris, no two places are identical with just different covid policies. This is why the term "all else equal" exists in economics.

What variable explains how neighboring states with restrictions have the exact same response as states with little or no restrictions? And, if other variables (that can't be controlled) outweigh the effect of lockdowns, then why are we doing lockdowns?
