I'd like to see a study showing coronavirus outcomes ranked by each country's average level of respect for the elderly. Asian countries are doing well. In the USA, where the elderly are treated as disposable, I observe that young people make no effort stop the spread.

I addressed this elsewhere, but I want to hear your response. What do you make of the possibility that American *elderly* are less compliant than Japanese elderly? I think most everyone has seen boomers (and even older) folks not only out in public but refusing to wear a mask.

I've seen zero non-compliance in public where I live. But in any case, the random socializing is the dangerous part. Kids mix a lot whereas seniors tend to have a small circle of regular contacts.
