This is the dumb-doctor take, in which he compares the size of the virus to the size of the holes in a mask and calls it a day. Don't be like this guy.https://twitter.com/banthebbc/status/1355809591754428418 …

He is absolutely correct. I still believe one of the biggest mistakes of the fight against this virus was not amping up production of N95 masks to make them available to the general population quickly. Regular cloth masks offer the wearer a false sense of protection.

If he talked about viral load or viruses traveling on water particles, he might be credible. But his example of throwing dirt at a chain link fence shows he doesn't understand the topic.

Food for thought. COVID doesn't fly through the air on it's own. It's attached to the spittle that flies from your mouth when you talk or breath. It's like claiming a fence won't stop fleas getting into your yard. The fleas are on the dog. The fence stops the dog.

Proof that covid is only found in ‘dog sized droplets’ ?

The virus is in flea-sized aerosols. The dog is in the yard. The fleas "jump" through the fence and onto the dog.

And this is why you should never argue analogies. It sounds like you just suggested that covid can jump from one spittle particle, through a mask, and then onto another spittle particle outside the mask. Where it then forces the spittle to fly towards a living person.
