The logical conclusion usually contains a point of diminishing returns. This is the classic slippery slope, following an assumed path until it sounds ridiculous. „People need oxygen? Clearly everyone should carry a tank of the stuff to breathe more of it!“

We shouldn’t wear masks to reduce the spread of a virus if it makes us slightly uncomfortable. Also, we shouldn’t need to wear pants or underwear in public.

For the record, I'm not exactly opposed to doing this; it could be a useful tool. But it has been and can be abused. Pursuing what is right is more important than finding better ways to manipulate people to take your side.
