We all know Vitamin D is necessary for good health. But is there even ONE documented case of someone with adequate levels of Vitamin D dying of COVID-19? Why don’t I know that?

No. Perhaps having adequate D on board early prevents the dominoes from starting to fall. Also maybe D is an essential cofactor which other treatments require to be present. Circulating levels of D do not describe the entire tissue effects of D or cellular actions.

I am giving my broad view here. It is not universal that COVID hospital pts get Vit D check. It is extremely rare that a pt diagnosed in an urgent care/ER gets a D check. If my pt gets the diagnosis I start them immediately. Don't wait for a level.
