Luke Letlow was not wearing a mask at his runoff victory party Dec 5. He said we need to open the economy & live with COVID. Now he died with COVID & will never be sworn in. His beautiful wife, 3-year old son & 9-mo old daughter will take cold comfort in the stock market

Anyone you know ever die of regular flu? Nope. That has always been a myth.

Yes, a good friend two years ago. Almost any parent of young kids also knows people in their circle who have lost kids to the flu.

Children, the elderly and the vulnerable can die from the flu. Healthy 41 year old men do not die from the flu, they just act like they're going to.

What makes 41 year olds completely invulnerable, rather than simply statistically unlikely?

Yes because that's the really important point here. How many otherwise healthy 41 year old men per million actually die from the flu. Not enough to bother talking about as if it's significant, that's kind of the thing.

My best friend's boss died from the flu, pretty suddenly. He was in his mid 40's. Super healthy guy, was an avid mountain biker. It's rare but definitely happens.

Some people die. Some people also have the flu when it happens.
