I don’t think there can be a productive discussion about narcissism’s existence without first agreeing on what the word means. I suspect professionals mean one thing when they talk about narcissism and Twitter Karens mean something different.

I thought narcissism meant being selfish and thinking the world revolves around you (rather than high self astern). Hence I think it is both a real concept... because people do do that... and a useless concept... because it applies to absolutely everyone on Earth.
