Who’s job is it to fix the system? Signing a 5,593 page document without reading it, should never be a part of any system. Therefore, they need to do their jobs, and stop playing politics, while using foreign aid to launder money back to themselves and their cronies.

Corruption relying upon apathy, ignorance, and passivity.
-
Exactly. Congress will never support changing rules to eliminate pork. Voters have to insist. Term limits would help too.

More gets done and passed with mutual back scratching. Earmarks/pork are an incentive for the idiots to work together. More gets done when it's the norm. Now, is that's a good or bad thing? It is up for debate-but pork does have a purpose encouraging legislative production.
-
But one of the most important purposes is to get themselves re-elected.

So thinking it would be a good idea to stop stupid is stupid? Ya lost me there. Pork is just legalized corruption. There are common sense rules about how legislation gets bundled that could make a real difference. These are the opposite of stupid.

A "system" is only a pretense of moral legitimacy but lacks a valid metaphysical epistemology. "Human rights" and "democracy" are just artificial constructs made up by humans. They confer no moral legitimacy. "We hold these truths to be self evident" is only slightly better.

I stopped reading at “valid metaphysical...”.
