Why would far-UV be better when uv in ac can be shielded from view?

Do the bulbs burn out, or just weaken? First time I've heard that they need changing. Expensive bulbs, currently.

Looks like the $50 ones are UV-C (far) but more precise wavelengths may need fine-tuning. Frankly several bulbs in different regions would be ideal as a broad-spectrum antimicrobial.

The far UV assumes not dangerous, is still untested. The story makes sense until you consider that dismantling an RNA virus and cell DNA are not different. Common light baffled duct and common hard UV can be running quickly. Is necessary to solve air flow problems too.
