Some entrepreneur will make a billion dollars building a far-UV light device for existing AC units to kill any viruses passing through. Might help with future pandemics if is too late for this one. @elonmuskhttps://twitter.com/thomasa56/status/1339937532935593985 …

I have continuous UV lights in my duct system. Kills mold and is gemicidal not sure of wave length if that is your issue.

Any comment Scott - I’m sure you know more about his air conditioning system than him.

They’ve been available for home use for years but most people don’t have them because it’s an added expense when they upgrade and builders don’t ready put them in new builds. You can usually retrofit an existing HVAC unit an add one.

Why not? I have them in both of the units for my house. It's pretty much a standard option these days. (Though having said that, in checking just now, I see the lamp is burnt out in one of them. Time to call my HVAC company, I guess.)

Not the far UV new unobtanium tech some are pushing. Yes shielded hard UV and constant air flow. Far UV may not be worth a darn for legionnaires and other bacterial and fungal pathogens even TB. News at 11:00
