Question for engineers/developers: Some say it is impossible to create a sufficiently secure voting app. My gut/experience tells me it is totally possible if cleverly designed. Who is right?

Yep, very easy. Symmetric Key based encryption might be enough, but I like blockchain for the chain of custody aspect.

One of my charming features is that I don't mind debating people who know way more than I do. It wouldn't be hard to run a program against your final database to cast out any duplicates and keep the last legal vote per SS#. (Let people change up to deadline.)

You'd have to federalize the vote to do that, states would lose control of their election process. Plus your vote won't be as anonymous since it's tied to your identity. And what's to stop vote harvesting and dead people voting?
