Critics have been calling Trump a "con man" for four years, while noting that he "conned" himself into the highest office in the country. Wouldn't that make him an expert at conning? So when Trump says the election was obviously rigged, why don't critics listen to the expert?

I expect truth from the finance guy I expect half truth from the pundit I never know what to expect from conmen. It could be truth. It could be lies. It could be somewhere in between.

It’s only the same if you think all distinctions of character are a wash.. which is the common line taken with Trump supporters. But if you think one is a con man, then of course it is not a wash and your analogy falls short

"If I knew a master criminal, and he told me 'another criminal is trying to steal your money, send it all to me for safekeeping!' I'd trust him. After all, he's a master criminal. Surely he'd be able to tell if something like that were happening."
