Just do it with paper ballots with a copy of the id amd an original signature attached. Problem solved.

It's called paper and it works fine.

Seriously. I live in a country of 10 million people, votes are counted by midnight. All party observers can sit there all day while votes are cast and during counting.

Voting through an App or voting by mail breaks secret ballot. Someone can look over your shoulder when you are voting by mail or through an app. Though US allows it, most countries don't allow it except for some small number of people.https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Secret_ballot …
