Seems to work all over east Asia. Decent government run contract tracing. Probably also important that the government emphasises that following the regulations is not a political decision, just a public health one.

Spot on .Contact tracing never works. It like seeing a pool of water and saying a leak happened while the leak could have happened at a different place and the water is just collecting there.

No we had it decades ago when Tuberculosis was a threat. It works fine if 1. You have staff equal to the size of the outbreak 2. People cooperate We had neither condition this time.
