One good thing that should come out of this so-called election is support for voting online using facial recognition, maybe with a 3-second video for absolute identity verification, blockchain, etc. Far more secure and instant results.

Dead wrong about this. We vote all on paper on the day in the UK and it’s secure and easy and everyone can understand it. I hope we never introduce computerised fuckery into the process.

Taking this online is the wrong direction. In person voting (early is ok), Voter ID with photo and chip, two factor authentication

Why have I never heard this suggestion? I just had to get some new driver’s license that is some real identity thing. Seems like this idea would be more secure for voter ID.

I’m have a masters in cyber security. The thing that needs considering is CIA (Confidentiality Integrity, and Availability). Blockchains would ensure integrity, while confidentiality (and anonymity) would be handled by pseudo random identifiers like apple’s credit cards.

That’s what the 3-second video is for. And regular citizens would not have that capability.
