GOP legislators were the ones who wouldn't allow mail votes to be counted earlier (though MI got 1 extra day). Same in WI & PA. Only logical explanation I've seen is that this was to try to sow the chaos Trump is now pushing. Most other states start earlier. Yes. If I was making a conspiracy theory it would be that the GOP wanted the postal votes counted late and Democrat weighted so they could claim fraud. This is consistent with the Republican message not to mail in ballots this election.

Yes, and after a long fight they agreed to let bigger counties start prepping mail ballots for the count one day early. Which is one day better than PA or WI Republicans who control their state legislatures allowed.
