Are we to believe that our skills at protecting the vulnerable and treating COVID-19 are coincidentally keeping up with the rate of new infections for the past month?https://twitter.com/JSegor/status/1323321995849682944 …

Viruses get weaker with time and the weaker the virus the more it spreads. I

That's not how viruses work. It's not some kind of poison that gets diluted.

Of course, that case's per day chart is misleading... If you compare it to this one from @boriquagato who normalizes the chart with testing you'll actually see the frequency of Cases and Deaths is actually kind of the same. Cases and Deaths are flat. https://twitter.com/boriquagato/status/1313905557875699712?s=20 …

Add to that. The continued work by @EthicalSkeptic and his evaluation of deaths, and we see that the actual death rate is still below the CDC definition of a "Pandemic" and has been for 6 weeks.https://twitter.com/EthicalSkeptic/status/1322672152517189634?s=20 …

Confirming what we saw this week, where states were running out of old Covid deaths to launder - comes the fact that SupraLag showed our lag model OVER-estimated deaths for the last 5 weeks. This makes for 6 solid weeks below the CDC pandemic level of 5.9%. pic.twitter.com/E1yIqppq9D

Covid-19 was a new disease, but by now the treatments have matured and we're in a much better place to cope. Newly acquired medical experience made all the difference.
