      1. My proposal for a national health insurance plan that will - Cost nothing - Insure everyone - Allow you to keep your plan if you like it - Harness the free market to provide choice, improve quality, and lower costs Sounds too good to be true? Read on!

I don't follow. Where does the extra money come from (in simple language)?

If the wage tax is 10% - about what is paid now - that would be enough. It would mean a 10% new tax on employers that don't pay for insurance now, but would be about the same as most employers that *do* pay for heath insurance now

Basically a new tax on small businesses. I can tell you that one of the big reasons I exited the restaurant business is that I expected Obama to do that kind of tax. It would be a game-ender for lots of small businesses.

10% is a lot less than what is now being proposed for increases in the minimum wage!

People do not realise what looks like a small amount to them in the real world has big impact on small businesses. Cash coming into small business varies, it's not the same as a regular salary. Totally different mindset.

It is not going to help. We already have this tax-based way.https://twitter.com/linenland/status/1310271267455500288 …

Obamacare is essentially a tax act. 1) It makes medical services more affordable to some people and less affordable to others, but it doesn't address the shortage of supply and won't lower the cost for all people. 2) It's a mainly tax on the young and healthy. Agree or disagree.

@ScottAdamsSays I think this slight modification solves your problem: - Companies that currently provide health insurance will pay a 10% wage tax *instead* of paying for insurance. - Companies that do *not* provide health insurance may lower wages by 10% to pay the wage tax

Employees that don't currently get health insurance from their employers will get it for 10% of their wages, which is a good deal
