Actually, I post this way because censorship and political retaliation is at a high point in the US, where one side has instilled bigotry into the core of their campaign: all trump supporters are bigots. I don't want to get executed in the street like many already have.

That’s a familiar old trick, pulled out of the con bag of tricks! Wherein the Trump supporter feigns outrage when his opponents correctly call out the richly and historically documented bigotry of Trump. It’s not racist to recognize and call out racism where you see it. Duh.

Also, I believe there’s a bit of an associative effect, where at some point, after seeing substantial evidence of Trump’s overt bigotry, and one continues to support him, they must agree on some level with the bigotry, else they would speak out openly and frequently.

The pro-Trump view is that TDS distorts your mind and makes you see racism where there is obviously none. The Fine People Hoax being the top example, and the Central Park 5 being another. The rest are too.

Certainly the pro-Trump view would be drawn to a pro-Trump construct created by the right. In fact, the left has remained quite clear-headed. Fine People Hoax? In the context where a right-wing terrorist runs over and kills someone, NO, there are not fine people on both sides.

Good example that proves my point. The Fine People Hoax can be debunked just by reading the transcript. So we don't need to wonder which of us is hallucinating.

Trump responded: "Excuse me, excuse me. They didn’t put themselves — and you had some very bad people in that group, but you also had people that were very fine people, on both sides." Which part of that, including the period at the end, is factually incorrect?
