There's something deeply unexplained about the U.S. coronavirus death rates compared to other countries. It can't be explained by hospital payment incentives or even leadership mistakes. For some reason, we are all blind to the biggest variable, whatever it is.

Possibly, but even during lockdown, daily US per capita cases never went down to the level that we suppressed them to in Germany and other European countries.

France and Spain have been hit hard but Germany and Poland not. Anybody serious about Covid would analyse the difference (T-cell immunity? Previous flu seasons). Scott is right to point that out; from his US perspective
