There's something deeply unexplained about the U.S. coronavirus death rates compared to other countries. It can't be explained by hospital payment incentives or even leadership mistakes. For some reason, we are all blind to the biggest variable, whatever it is.

The deaths of all COVID-19 patients in Germany are counted as COVID-19 deaths even if the exact cause of death can’t be determined. The reason: Doctors can’t clearly differentiate between “died of” and “died with” COVID-19.

That's not what numerous news stories on it say. They say it's only listed as an official COVD-19 death if they died of COVD-19, vs of something else but with COVD-19. The US officially counts deaths a COVD-19 death even if died *of something else but with COVD-19
