1/ MASTER THREAD. Do masks work? Kudos to @ianmSC who compiled a simple set of graphs charting the rise and fall of #COVID19 cases & hospitalizations ALONG SIDE of the date of mask mandates. 5/ You can also play around with our interactive tool showing the NYT survey on the county level of mask usage together with 60 days of cases after that survey. There is essentially NO correlation between mask usage and case growth per 100Khttps://rationalground.com/interactive-tool-masks-covid-19/ …

How do you know what it would have been without masks?

You don't. But you can't make the inference it would've been worse when places without mask mandates didn't see the same elevated numbers. Maybe masks aren't the key variable the forced narrative wants them to be.

I wonder if masks could lower the viral load, making the disease even milder. I've seen a couple of studies suggesting that higher viral load leads to worse symptoms. There are other studies that suggest it doesnt make a difference 🤷‍♂️

Because we have Sweden as an example, showing significantly better outcomes than many areas with masks. The Norwegian Institute of Public Health estimated in the best case, if masks were 40% effective, it would require 200,000 people wearing them to prevent 1 infection per week

We also have data showing that cases rise and fall at essentially the same time in wildly different locations with complete different levels of mask “intervention”.pic.twitter.com/0ZnZVuzOnx
