Chain link fences stop every mosquito that is on a dog. Virus travels on water droplets. Masks make droplets disperse nearer the breather. Less spread. Amount of virus matters, not just yes/no.

That was their excuse for backtracking. The pre-covid science regarding mask efficacy is quite clear. Australia even imposed fines back during the SARS outbreak against anyone claiming masks worked.

So they lied then, but it strains credulity that they’re lying now? If they lied to protect resources, their focus was on preserving N95 masks not tube socks. They could have told us in March to wear cutoff tube socks over our faces, but they knew that offered no real protection.

I suspect the rampant CCP Daigou (look it up if you're not familiar) sucking up all the commercial PPE in Jan-Mar had more of an impact on the world wide supply.
