@ScottAdamsSays Drug dealers and gang members are resourceful. You'd end up playing phone tag with them as they'd figure out quickly that you can track them via phone. And use it as a decoy. At which point you're better off with an old fashioned stake out. 1/2 -
In essence you'd only be creating another law wherein the regular law abiding citizen is not saavy enough to get around because they have no use for it. Which leads to systemic corruption in the case of tracking citizens for dubious reasons. ex. self defense lawfare in 2020. 2/3

The no knocks were made to prevent suspects dumping evidence, drugs getting flushed, etc. but there's also a safety benefit to them according to people who have & do serve on those units that sometimes get the no knocks. There's no time to grab a weapon before being outnumbered..
