President Trump’s strongest leadership qualities are persuasion and risk management. Coincidentally, both of those talents are invisible to the untrained. It’s easy to see why the “artist class” is confused.

Read Win Bigly for a book full of examples. On risk management, see closing travel early, HCQ, speeding up vaccines, reopening schools, lots more.

Why did he dissolve the pandemic surveillance team in 2019? Seems like a colossally bad move. Why did his CDC and FDA sit on their collective hands for months instead of deploying sentinel testing on flu samples? Why does he undercut his own hired experts at every turn?
