      Nope. I interviewed attendees who were NOT with the marchers, disavowed the racists, but wanted statues to remain for historical purposes. As do many Black citizens, by the way.

          None of those statues were put up for historical purposes. They were put up to intimidate black people. But you know that and are okay with that.

          Most were fundraised and erected by Daughters of the Confederacy who wanted to enshrine their heroes after losing the war. Racist then, racist now.
