No they did not. Only events larger than 50 people were banned. Other than that, no other business were closed and only had to abide by local ordinances such as no standing in bars. Sweden never went into recession and AFAIK they're the only country in Western Europe to do that.

True. Almost all things voluntarily and as Johan Giesecke (advising Anders Tegnell) said on Unherd channel (YT) that is how it should be in a democracy (!). No abuse of state power by locking down healthy people involuntarily.

The only government action was ban large gatherings such as concerts. Other than that, all the “brakes” were done voluntarily; not violently (aka mandated by gov).
