Reminder: Anyone who says Sweden was smarter than the United States in its coronavirus management doesn't understand how management works. Lots of countries guessed on strategy, and some were luckier than others. That is not an indication of skill. Not even a little.

Understood, and I shouldn’t have put my comments on this thread talking about Sweden. I was not comparing to Sweden. just making a point about things we know can and should be fixed and yet there is no movement on changing policy.

Yes, common sense usually wins the day. Highly biased people often lack common sense. That goes for supposed experts! They are often so biased in a direction that common sense isn't reachable for them.

It cant matter when all leaders with no exception surrender their leadership. Then everything depends on the performance of the mob who they surrendered to. A skilled leader would have mattered.
