If "Kids rarely get sick with COVID-19" is your argument for opening schools, while ignoring the spreading-to-grandma part of the equation, I don't want to hear anything else you have to say.

And I love the change from “No Risk” on the link to “Little Risk” on the article.

My kids have seen my 75 year old parents exactly 3 times (socially distanced, outside, etc) since March despite living 10 minutes away. If the sacrifice to having kids in school is limiting out of school contact with elderly, that is absolutely what has to happen.

So your argument is that "at school" where there are dozens of kids concentrated in a classroom has no bearing on "at home"? It's reasonable to point out that the more time at school, less time at home. Also, during "lockdown" I see groups of kids now all over the place in NC.

Yes, which is what working parents need, and where socialized children need to be so they don't fall prey to depression and weight gain. Grandma can wear a mask.

Then protect Grandma? Unless Grandma is rocking up at school still, for some reason.

Yes......? If there is little risk of the virus being transmitted at school, then there is similarly little risk of someone contracting it at school - thus also little risk of that child passing it on to grandma. But absolutely each family must do their own risk assessment.

"There is very little evidence that the virus is transmitted at school". If it's not passed from kid to kid it isn't being taken home to spread to anyone.
