I know a lot of nurses and doctors, very few are in it for the money (except the specialist doctors).

I explained it in the other tweet. Either way. The data is the data. The real question to ask is why are certain politicians and media organizations so eager to push a narrative that's not true? Could it be that their donors and advertisers would love to sell a vaccine?

I know people who work in hospitals that are overwhelmed by Coronavirus patients day in and day out, so I know at least in some parts of the country it's real. I believe my friends I went to school with, and I believe my brothers. I know who've died from Covid, it's a thing.

Nobody is saying it's not a thing and or that your friends aren't busy. People say they're overwhelmed at work every day. It doesn't mean they're technically overwhelmed. They could just be stressed and afraid b/c they listen to the media. +

Since when do we ignore solutions that can solve multiple problems at once. Why can't we quarantine the high risk and allow healthy, working-aged people to (voluntarily) save the economy?

Sure, I'll look at it. From what I understand, the problem I've read is by now it's already spread too widely, trying to separate those groups would be extremely difficult, as the elderly need care by working age people, there are high-risk groups, people visiting care facilities

But anyway, I'm not sure I'll ever convince you. I'm trying to see your point of view, I hope you can see mine too.

Believe me. I'm inundated with your point of view all day, every day. I'm not trying to be a dick. I'm really not. I'm just saying, the people who you agree with (mayors and media) are destroying our economies while inadvertently and unnecessarily killing a lot of people.

totally get it, particularly about the economy. Main point, I haven't seen the specifics laid out in one place in a clear and understandable fashion. Things I think I know for sure - 1)we need more testing 2)we need federal coordination 3)we need to use science

Maybe write a blog post or show me one spot where it's clearly laid out with facts and references, and LOTS of people would be interested, including me. Scotts original video here has no references at all, its main problem.

What specifically needs a reference?

You say doctors say it's safe. Which doctors? Talk about the Lancet study that was disproven, very useful. Talk any about studies saying it IS safe for most people. Talk about even groups of reputable doctors, with references to them, who say it works. Just back up your points...

... and they would be far, far more convincing. I found out a lot of this stuff just by looking around (like the Lancet study versus the Ford study, etc.), but no one has clearly made the argument the FDA has it wrong
