South Korea, France, Italy, Germany, all have FAR fewer cases than we do. How did they do it? By taking the pandemic seriously from the start. We assumed it would go away and chose not to ramp up testing, contact tracing, etc.https://time.com/5872184/south-korea-contact-tracers-coronavirus/ …

Right, the “he was joking” gambit. Nice try.

Mr. Adams, again respectfully, if he’s joking, most people can’t tell he’s joking, which means they think he’s serious. I’ve watched the clips, he doesn’t seem like he’s joking to me, media or otherwise. How a person is perceived matters when they are the country’s leader.

I've often said that 30% of the public can't recognize a joke. This is no exception. I'd ask that group to consult with the 70% who can. Since testing did NOT change, nor was any change requested, ask yourself why your news sources are lying to you.

Question, was he joking here? I'm really asking Trump: "There are those that say you can test too much. You do know that?"
@jonathanvswan: "Who says that?" Trump: "Read the manuals. Read the books." Swan: "Manuals? What manuals?" Trump: "Read the books." Swan: "What books?"Thanks. Twitter will use this to make your timeline better. UndoUndo

May 15: "If we didn't do any testing, we would have very few cases," and "Maybe it (testing) is overrated… Testing is a double-edged sword. … So I said to my people, slow the testing down please." - Trump June 23: "I don't kid, let me just tell you, let me make it clear"-Trump
