We need an EO allowing some places to be designated "experimental single home" properties where entrepreneurs can rapidly build and test low-cost homes that are entirely different from what local building codes allow.

Current homes are like landline phones. We need the smartphone of houses. Local building codes (and politicians) are probably the only obstacle to testing our way to an enormous market that makes life affordable for all.

The cost is just as much about the location as the structure. If it becomes desirable to most people, a cheap structure can still become costly to buy. The way out: build a lot of them!

my favorite living space was a single car garage space with beautiful exposed logwork,a small woodstove,tiny kitchen area and bathroom beyond french doors. I had a sofa,bed,tv,lots of little things on neatly designed shelving and ledges. skylight above the bed. was peaceful
