I think the policy decision to send kids to school or not isn’t about the kids , but about opening a super spreader location or not causing increased hospitalisations weeks down the line.

There is no full time. Just time. And maybe that doesn't even exist.

@AnnaleaEastley This is part of the conversation as well. We have to remember that data is only partial because of all the variables.

I doubt the halftime analogy because there's no system or strategy, there's no framework of short term tradeoffs for long term gains. If anything, we tried to do the opposite and got punished for closing down poorly (protests on both sides, etc).

The statistical analysis by our press is so bad at this its not even funny. No data is normalized. No one asks how we know our sample set is reflective of the total population. Just fear-mongering. The situation is grim, but vastly over-stated.

But you CERTAINLY make adjustments based on YOUR OWN playing in the first half. Finish the metaphor.

I'm taking the EU at halftime. It's a rout vs USA, and they have an infrastructure to preserve that lead in the 2nd half. Contact tracing in the US is a joke. The US are at 3 death/million/day over last week vs EU at 0.15. No way the US comes back without a coach change.
