@AndreasShrugged Economics question. Who has a stronger point, @ScottAdamsSays who says there are always winners and losers in a trade war and it can be won, or Ayn Rand/@yaronbrook who say the US should unilaterally trade freely and that will force others (China) to follow.

It's hard to argue with her logic. We don't live in a perfect world. Perfect capitalism is as impossible as perfect socialism in my view.

I find her books to be worthwhile thought experiments. And they just read very differently from other works. But I wouldn't take her economics too seriously.

The three movies weren't so good, but the first of the three allows you to get a visual of the story's characters and the concepts they represent. Helps to read the book after you saw the first movie.

I can understand not accepting her very radical ideas, but if you have ever heard her speak and not found her impressive, I don't know what to say. I've never heard anyone as good at debating or explaining complicated themes, with such an incredible command of language.

I still enjoy seeing the Mike Wallace Interview, the Johnny Carson appearance, and the Phil Donahue interview and the Tom Snyder appearances on the Tomorrow show. All on YouTube.
