Teaching kids in school about other major religions and their histories should, in theory, make those kids more open-minded but also atheists. That’s the Biden plan, as I understand it.

I teach World Literature. My students actually come away with a stronger commitment to their own religion through affirmation that their spiritual tenets are adjacent to others. Most core religious beliefs blend into each other. We actually aren't that different.

Fortunately, I do teach the histories to the best of my ability within the structures of an 85-minute class that meets three times per week. If you have any extremely good pedagogical suggestions for me@tI improve my craft, I am all ears. I never want my teaching to stagnate.

I’m 100% unclear on how a responsible teacher would teach the beliefs WITHOUT the history. What exactly are you referring to and on what evidence are you basing your observations? All the religious studies teachers I know are studious professionals.
