The longer Trump is president, the funnier it is to ask his critics for the one strongest example of something he did wrong on the job. Example answer: "Well, his mean tweets, and, um, you know the thing."

Ask yourself who was the best world leader on battling coronavirus then ask yourself how they would have done trying to get this country to comply. If you learn how to compare things, you won't sound so foolish.

Have you seen evidence that leadership is correlated to coronavirus success? What would that even look like? We only know some countries had different outcomes (so far).

Yes. Scandinavia is a pretty good case study. Very similar countries with different policies on the virus, with very different outcomes.

Very similar countries in that they were healthier and lower risk than us before the virus hit, at the fault of our lazy civilians?

Look at the graph. Sweden is the outlier. Look at their policies, and compare it to the neighboring countries.

That's magical thinking. You can't sort luck from skill when one decision is involved and no one knew the right answer yet. We also don't know how it ends. Does Sweden come out the other side sooner?

Magical thinking is saying the virus will go away by April. Implementing sound policies to slow the spread of a virus is not magical thinking.

very good question and framing. much of the corvona virus trajectories are path dependent and fraught with uncertainty honest ?, if I let you define success however you want, are there some states in the US you would point to as being "successes"? or too much doubt to speculate
