          This is the argument though - the justice system is setup to criminalize black life. So of course the crimes they’re targeting happen more often in black neighborhoods. If we put cops perpetually roaming around rich neighborhoods, they’d find just as many drugs for instance.

          That is a fantasy narrative with no basis in reality. The idea that crime levels are the same is completely false. There are more police and more arrests in black communities because there is more crime.

          FBI Stats 2019: 1001 police-involved deaths (of perps) out of 10 million arrests. 42 of those deaths involved perps without weapons. 21 were White, 9 Black

          And of those 9 unarmed black men, 7 were fighting with/injured the officer. The other 2 were charged with, convicted, and sentenced for murder.
