I've read a journal article that posits a cloth mask stops about 3% of aerosolized particles that may contain a virus. These are actual sites to look at data, eventhough it's made into a meme.pic.twitter.com/3DajZZyAtQ

"Stops" is the wrong metric. The point is to keep exhalations localized around the potentially infected person. No one thinks masks "stop" virus.
