It's the two tiger traps on the same walking path, analogy. You fall in to the first one, but if it's not there you'd fall in the other. Same with pneumonia deaths this year.

I know TWO people who died (presumably of it) and one who is still recovering months later. I’ve never had that happen from flu.

Our normal flu season is "neglected" news. 60K people can die of something in a year and most people aren't directly touched by it.
