I lost my TV show for being white when UPN decided it would focus on an African-American audience. That was the third job I lost for being white. The other two in corporate America. (They told me directly.)

Maybe that’s more on you than them for creating such an overwhelmingly white cast of characters.

Do you know what happens when white cartoonists introduce black characters in a comic strip? If you did, you'd be well-informed.

EVERYTHING is poorly received if you do it poorly. If a character in Dilbert happened to be black and no character mentioned it or addressed it--nobody would raise an eyebrow. People only get upset when they look like THIS:pic.twitter.com/V34K8hVRIN

Some things are poorly received no matter how well they are done. See "Mt. Rushmore." If you didn't know that, you might not be as experienced in this field as I am.

Here’s a comment not based on sarcasm. I read both of your books from the 90s, and your pity party about being a white guy isn’t new. What is new are the standards the world expects of you. Until you choose to grow, your influence as a cartoonist will continue to shrink.

It would be useful for you to have some understanding of my opinions, which you mischaracterize here, before criticizing them. Otherwise, you come off as an ignorant scold, not a beacon of moral clarity.

No, Scott. The problem is I DO understand your work. I used to be a massive fan as Dilbert was hot as I was entering software engineering as a career in the late 90s. And just like that Dennis the Menace cartoon, you are the stuck in the past. You deserve the feedback you get.

You know my cartoon work from the 90s. Do you know my writing and opinions on reparations, urban blight, bad urban schools, offensive statues, Kaepernick protests, and police reform? Did you know I'm left of Bernie on social issues? Come to 2020. The nineties are over.

Yes, I’m familiar with the giant ass you’ve made of yourself publicly. It frequently makes the news. Some of your takes are good. I thought your statements on patient assisted suicide was the most raw and genuine thing I’ve read on the subject. Your Hillary pity party, less so.

Name one opinion I hold (that you can accurately describe) in which you disagree. Watch how hard it is. That's how you know your opinion is based on bigotry.
