What do you suppose is behind this cultural pathology? It's obviously not caused by anything biological. As you've noted, African immigrants often do well here. So how do you suppose these family problems you describe came to be?

Bigotry of all kinds not only exists, it is universal. Brains are pattern recognition machines, but shitty ones. We can't tell real patterns from confirmation bias. But we can recognize that limitation and refine systems for overcoming it.
