Three things I learned from the #BLM protests:
- No one can point to an example of systemic racism (except against whites and asian-Americans)
- Resisting arrest is the only thing that gets you killed by cops
- Reparations would be negative if you calculated them correctly

By “Design” is your definition. Currently, it’s not the common one. Aspen Institute Systemic Racism: A system in which public policies, institutional practices, cultural representations, and other norms work in various, often reinforcing ways to perpetuate racial group inequity.

2/ It identifies dimensions of our history and culture that have allowed privileges associated with “whiteness” and disadvantages associated with “color” to endure and adapt over time. Structural racism IS NOT something that a few people or institution CHOOSE to practice.
